Jon Mercer, Achean

Jon Mercer is a consultant working in IT for a variety of industries. He brings a wealth of experience from the telecoms, call-centre and public sectors but specialises in large infrastructure projects, particularly when based around Linux/Unix and the Oracle product set.

Achean is the name of the company used by Jon as a consulting vehicle. The name was chosen (deliberately misspelled from Achaean) because it was short, snappy, vaguely heroic sounding, has only six letters making it easy to spell (although seemingly impossible to pronounce) and it begins with an "A" so it shows up highly in alphabetical listings.
