Although Achean has no commercial link with Venice, the pictures in this gallery were taken by our director and capture the beauty of the city at night.

These images were taken in late March 2007 late at night to minimise human influence in the picture and to capture Venice's beauty as one the loveliest yet most enigmatic cities in the world. These pictures have since featured in a travel guide to the city and been painted by a Bristol based artist.

All were taken with a Canon EOS 350D using a thirty second exposure.
